Medication Managment

Medication Management includes the Initial Psychiatric Evaluation appointment with a Psychiatrist in order to obtain the appropriate diagnoses based on the information gathered.

Once the diagnoses are clarified, we will then evaluate the patient’s need for psychotropic medications, and if appropriate, we will provide a prescription.

During the initiation and titration phase of the medication, we expect to see patients more frequently for medical monitoring/evaluation related to the use of the psychotropic medication, its effectiveness and any potential side effects.

In order to thoroughly understand the patient’s experiences, the Psychiatrist will ask questions about his/her symptoms or side effects, such as how often they occur, when they occur, how long they last, how bothersome they are or how much they interfere with daily activities.

Family members will be asked to share their observations.
